Ruth Williamson is an American actress. She portrayed Hedda Grubman in the FX drama Nip/Tuck.
Biography[]
Ruth Williamson was born on January 25, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Williamson made her Broadway debut in 1986 in the musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," which won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. She played the role of Rosa Bud and received critical acclaim for her performance. She went on to appear in a number of other Broadway productions, including Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, and La Cage aux Folles. In 2000, Williamson originated the role of Mrs. Meers in the Broadway production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. The show was a critical and commercial success, winning six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Williamson's performance as the villainous Mrs. Meers received a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. In voice acting she is best known for voicing multiple characters for Courage the Cowardly Dog which was a hit show for Cartoon Network and smaller voice acting part for Samurai Jack that also gained massive popularity for the same network.
