Rhea Reynolds was came to McNamara/Troy because she had been attacked by The Carver. However, when they were performing the surgery, Sean McNamara and Christian Troy found that the cuts on her face were not as precise as The Carver's work normally is. Rhea was also not a physically beautiful person, a requirement for most Carver victims. The doctors found that Rhea had carved her own face as a way to get attention.

Once she returned home, Rhea was paid a visit by the real Carver. The Carver attacked and killed Rhea out of rage.
